Summer Camp

Camping is the great outdoor adventure of Scouting. As a Scout becomes at home in the outdoors, they learn some of the skills, resourcefulness, and self-reliance of the pioneer. The aims and methods of Scouting are all pertinent in the outdoor camping experience.

Summer camping is perhaps the best opportunity for Scouts to fully immerse themselves in the outdoor experience. The summer camp schedule includes time for a Scout to achieve personal advancement, bond with his troop and fellow Scouts, and participate in activities of a personal interest.
